The Feast of Firstfruits is one of the most misunderstood appointed Feasts described in the Torah. For centuries there has been a conflict among theologians and scholars as to the correct time of the feast, how that time is determined, what the feast means. Churches have fractured into splinters over these arguments, and no one seems to know its true importance to the spiritual lives of the people of the world.
Does that not seem strange?
Of course, it does.
What if the same kind of arguments happened concerning the popular Christmas holiday? How would the people feel if the religious leaders could not determine whether Christmas was on December 21, 24, 25. or 31. Christmas time was also known as the Saturnalia, which was a period of time that started before the winter solstice and ended with December 25. What if Christmas was not really the 25th, but had been changed from the 21st to the 25th? Would there be arguments between churches, the media, politicians, and the fringe?
That is what happened to the Feast of Firstfruits!
Many people who know something about “Pentecost” know little about the Feast of Firstfruits. They may know that “Pentecost” is the “50th” day. But few know the “1st” day. Then, of all things, some religions count the “Days of Pentecost” – something that does not exist in any Scripture.
To add to the confusion, the phrase in Acts 2 says something like, “when the day of Pentecost had fully come.” Then the arguments start over, because no one really knows what that means. Oh sure, there are speculations and opinions, aren’t there?
But is anything of a spiritual nature ever settled by the votes of the human population?
What if “Pentecost” was one of those “scribal entries” that are talked about in Jeremiah 8?
“How do you say, ‘We are wise, and the Torah of Yahua is with us’?
“But look, the false pen of the scribe has worked falsehood. The wise shall be put to shame; they shall be broken down and caught. See, they have rejected the Word of Yahua. So what wisdom do they have?”
The word “Pentecost” is an entry by the false pen of a scribe to “enlighten” the “reader.”
The truth of the Feast is NOT revealed, but blotted out!
The TRUE Feast of Firstfruits is easy to understand and know, if you know certain facts from Scripture. But if people refuse and accept traditions, religion, and opinion, then they bring a curse upon themselves and upon the nation. This curse will bring destruction upon all institutions, whether “secular” or “spiritual.”
The answer to the nations’ ills, rests not in the “ideas” of “people” but rather in the purity of “mind-spirit-body” of humanity.
