END TIME: Abomination of Desolation: Who it is and What this means

In the Prepare the Way World Radio broadcast of August 25, 2010, the subject of Tyre was covered. This includes chapters 26-28 of the book of Ezekiel. During the broadcast it became clear that this was a special part of scripture that had both historical significance and was a prophecy for our day and time. What was revealed was what the abomination that makes desolate is and what we should know about it, and who it really is. However, the most important message was that the “abomination” is actively at work now, and the people he is using don’t even know it.

That may sound a little strange to most people because most are unaware that political and natural events, according to Scripture, are in the hands of powerful and often unseen rulers. For example, in Revelation 8 and 9, there is a list of major natural events coming from deep space. These will afflict the earth with many and varied troubles including, poisonous gases, debris, dust clouds, asteroids, strange eclipses, deep darkness, blood moons, earthquakes, volcanoes, massive storms, and a potential change in earth’s orbit and rotation speed!

Revelation 9 says that all of these catastrophes are the result of the affect of one “king” or “ruler” that goes by the name Abaddon (Hebrew) or Appolyon (Greek). Translated these names mean “wandering destroyer” in Hebrew or simply “destroyer” in Greek.

This one object comes from the “abyss” or deep space and enters our solar system and raises havoc with any objects close enough to be affected by its gravity, gas clouds, debris stream, and size. It is this object that is responsible for all the troubles listed in the first five “trumpets” of Revelation 8 and 9. It is the “king” or supreme ruler over these other things. (Revelation 9.) It is also the “first woe.”

We have not yet experienced the troubles that this “king” will bring to the earth.

However, mankind has and will continue to experience the great troubles that have come and are coming from another “king.” And that one was revealed to Ezekiel many years ago, but sealed until this time.

The Mystery of Tyre

The prophecies of Tyre, a small city located on the coast of Lebanon just north of the border with the land of Israel, tell that it was at one time a major center of world commerce and the wealth of the world was flowing in and out if its massive sea harbor. Nations from all over the world traded in Tyre. Armies from other nations were joined together to guard and protect the city like a Nato army. Craftsmen from many places worked in Tyre to build and maintain the massive sea-going vessels that carried men and good all over the Mediterranean, and even across the Atlantic to the land that later became known as the Americas.

Not only was Tyre one of the greatest commerce hubs of the world, it also carried much political influence on the rest of the world.

Then when it had reached a pinnacle of power in the world, it was made desolate!

The question that came up during the broadcast was WHY?

What did Tyre do that brought such great desolation on its influence and power?

There is a brief introductory phrase at the beginning of chapter 26 of Ezekiel,

The word of Yahua came to me, saying, “Son of man, because Tyre has spoken against Jerusalem, ‘Aha! She, the gateway of the peoples, has been broken, she has been turned over to me. Let me be filled, she has been ruined.’

“Therefore thus said the Master Yahua, ‘See, I am against you, O Tyre, and shall cause many nations to come up against you, as the sea causes its waves to come up.’”

Then the chapter goes on to explain how Nebuchadnezzar and the armies of Babylon, came against Tyre and destroyed the harbor and the city and dumped all the timbers and stones into the sea, where they can be seen today. The harbor and island were turned into a place for the spreading of nets.

But this was only the beginning of Tyre’s troubles. After Babylon the Persians came up against the remains of the once great Tyre and her daughter cities. Then Alexandar the Great and his Greek army came against Tyre, and then the Romans, and down until our day and time when the Israelis also came and bombed Tyre and made it for a while the Israeli headquarters during the recent Lebanon war!

“As the sea causes its waves to come up!”

The Phoenicians established a one world unity – a united world trade system and politic, that has not been repeated since.

To get an idea of the influence, wealth, and power of Tyre, read the entire chapter 27 of Ezekiel. This chapter is a lamentation over the incredible greatness of Tyre. There has been nothing like it since the day it was torn apart by the Babylonians, and continually suppressed by the nations to this day!

The statement in the quote above was a trigger that brought an end to the once great Tyre. But was that all there was that led to its desolation. Obviously, that attitude was expressed after Judah has been taken captive by the Babylonians. It was during Ezekiel’s and Daniel’s day that Tyre came crashing down.

And the Babylonians were the ones who destroyed Jerusalem and took the House of Judah into exile!

Could there have been even greater reasons of which that view quoted above was only a small part?

The Corrupted Heart of the Prince of Tyre

Chapter 28 starts to fill in the mystery of Tyre, both the reason for its incredible power, and its great, and frightening collapse.

Tyre was ruled by a “Prince.” He might have considered that he was more than just a prince, but the choice of “prince” is appropriate in the context, as we shall see.

The Prince of Tyre was powerful and he spoke great things about his position in the world …

“Son of man, say to the prince of Tyre, ‘Thus said the Master Yahua, “Because your heart is lifted up, and you say, ‘I am EL, I sit in the seat of Elohim, in the heart of the seas,’ whereas you are a man, and not EL, though you set your heart as the heart of Elohim! Look! Are you wiser than Daniel? Has no secret been hidden from you?

“By your wisdom and your understanding you have made riches for yourself, and gathered gold and silver into your treasures. By your great wisdom, by your trade you have increased your riches and your heart is lifted up because of your riches!”

‘Therefore thus said the Master Yahua, “Because you have set your heart as the heart of Elohim, therefore, see, I am bringing against you strangers, the ruthless ones of the nations, and they shall draw their swords against the loveliness of your wisdom, and they shall profane your splendor! Down into the Pit they shall bring you, and you shall die the death of the slain in the heart of the seas. Would you still say before him who slays you, ‘I am Elohim,’ — whereas you are man! Not EL! – in the hand of he who slays you? The death of the uncircumcised you shall die by the hand of foreigners. For I have spoken,” declares the Master Yahua”.’”

There was no question that this “prince” had the talent, wisdom, and understanding to gather wealth, and do worldwide trading. And this made him a very wealthy man of that day.

But there is one thing that was hidden from him.

The Mystery of the Hidden King

He received help from an unseen source. There was some power ruling over him that exploited the wisdom, understanding, talent and skills of the “prince.”

There was an unseen King that was not known by the prince nor by any other person in the world!

Who was this King and how is it that he was unseen and yet able to provide such great influence that the entire world was drawn to the “prince.”

This King was not human! But his influence and power built Tyre and helped to establish the “prince” in the eyes of the nations, and made one seacoast town the hub of international trade that would stagger our minds if we could understand how great it was.

This King acted with the same kind of power as Abaddon and Appolyon, but in this case, it was not exactly like the “wandering destroyer.” However, it did lead to desolation of Tyre, and its harbor and its trade and riches, leaving only a small city on the coast of Lebanon.

Continuing on in Ezekiel 28 …

“Son of man, take up a lamentation for the King of Tyre, and you shall say to him, thus said the Master Yahua …”

Notice that the prophecy is no longer talking about the Prince of Tyre! Chapter 27 was the lamentation for Tyre. Now we are going to hear the lamentation for the King – the real ruler and sovereign of Tyre:

“You were SEALING UP THE PATTERN, complete in wisdom and perfect in loveliness. YOU WERE IN EDEN – the garden of Elohim! Every precious stone was your covering [list of precious stones and metals]. The workmanship of your settings and mountings WAS PREPARED FOR ON THE DAY YOU WERE CREATED!”

This is a CREATED being who was in EDEN. This being was carefully formed and decorated, with jewels and precious metals. He was beautiful to look at and lovely in every way!

“YOU WERE THE ANOINTED CHERUB THAT COVERED! And I PLACED YOU. You were on the set-apart mountain of ELOHIM. You walked up and down on the stones of fire!

We are not reading about a man, are we?

However, this being was also a DEAL MAKER, a trader, and from him the prince learned how to deal and trade …

“By the greatness of your trade you became filled with violence within, and you sinned.

“So I thrust you from the mountain of Elohim, and I destroyed you, O COVERING CHERUB, from the midst of the stones of fire.

“You heart was lifted up because of your loveliness, you corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor. I THREW YOU TO THE EARTH. I laid you before kings to look at you.”

This being was put before kings and rulers, and their fate was determined by what they saw. They could either resist the influence of this being, and stand before Yahua as His servant, or they could lust after the “loveliness” and “splendor” and receive CORRUPTED WISDOM.

Which did they choose?

I think it is becoming obvious in this day and time that they have by and large chosen corrupted wisdom and alliance with this being who became crooked and the father of unrighteousness.

“You profaned your set-apart places by your many crookednesses, by the unrighteousness of your trading. Therefore I brought forth fire from your midst. It has devoured you, and I turned you to ashes upon the earth before the eyes of all you see you.

“All who knew you among the peoples were astonished at you. Waste you shall be, and cease to be, forever.”

This prophecy is yet to be fulfilled before the eyes of the world and its rulers.

This being still walks the earth. The “King” is still attending super-high level meetings. He continues to make deals by leading the minds of the elite into lusting after riches and what the King can deliver to them through his power.

One more time, before this age comes to its long ago prophesied end, the abomination that leads to desolation will rise again in the hearts of men and women and influence them to choose “corrupted wisdom,” and unrighteousness, and to exalt themselves to the position of EL and the Elohim in the world. This is already underway, because it did not stop with Tyre, or with any of the empires, or with the nations. This “anointed cherub” stalks the earth, only now with more intensity, because he knows his time is short.

Why was Tyre made desolate? It was at least about the inordinate lifting up of the heart of the prince, but that was caused by the influence of the “King.” But considering the amount of power and influence that was working at that time, it is entirely possible that it could have led to the destruction and desolation of the earth, with nothing left alive. That certainly is the threat that is implied in the prophecies of Revelation and Matthew 24, and Zechariah 14, and Daniel 12, is it not?

The future of the humanity does not lie in the hands of mankind. The Day of Man is coming to an end. But one hidden being is still walking the earth with the purpose of destroying earth and mankind. Our salvation does not lie in our prowess or wisdom, but rather in Yahua, the only born Son of EL. Yahua created all things, including the anointed cherub that now threatens the earth. Do you really think Yahua will let that happen? He brought a swift end to the world united under Tyre, did he not?

If you have any doubts about that read Psalm 20. But keep in mind, where the translator wrote “Lord” — that is really “Yahua.”

was just surfing the scripture passages on the internet and found your name. first time i have heard the name, so i went to the web and found that you’re an credible witness. tried to do a study once on tyrus, but got tied up and had to lay it aside. you do make researching and study very intresting and fill in gaps. one question ( of 1000′s) i have pondered, is, how can lucifer be called a man? Is 14:12-23 sound like human, not an exhorted churb nor a dethroned one, but just a man. he and tyrus sound like one and the same to me. your understand or revelation is greatly desired.

Lucifer in the Scriptures does not work alone. He is the “power” behind the thrones of many nations. The prince of Tyre and the King of Tyre in Ezekiel is one example of this kind of relationship. The prince declared that he was EL and was brought down because of his arrogance. But the real force behind this ruler was the “King” who was the Cherub who was cast down to earth. This being can be the influence behind any national ruler and more than one at a time. However, he can be overcome and will flee from those who recognize his methods and resist him. Strangely, it appears that the United States leaders are being influenced by the Adversary as that answers the many questions raised by the people about why the really dumb decisions are being given so much power. The only way the United States or any country so influenced can escape this threat is by real repentance (legitimate “change” with a return to the Elohim of Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob) and by sincere fasting and prayer with humility. Religion won’t do the job, as most religions are also influenced by the Adversary, which sounds like an awful thing to say, but history supports that. Only the Creator can also be the Deliverer because He has all the power, and there is no substitute! This is made very clear in Ezekiel 28 and Isaiah 14

Dr. Sakach, Exodus 20 is always quoted in the church as the “Ten” commandments. Yet…. nothing is ever mentioned about Exodus 34:10:28. Exodus 34:28 is the only time the phrase “Ten Commandments” is used. I found it interesting that Father basically kept them the same except for adding the three main feasts. Could this be because of the feast day that Aaron declared for the people involving the golden calf? As always… Thank you for all the rich nuggets of Father’s word that you share with us. Blessings!!!!

This section in Exodus 34 is interesting. Because the church does not recognize the feasts, they are missing out on the three major offerings. The three times a year when men were to appear was also to present offerings and tithes. As far as Aaron and the golden calf situation goes, I cannot draw any conclusions. There is the reminder about not making molded “mighty ones” for yourselves. But that was part of the original “10″, was it not? Also at that time, they were only less than three months out of Egypt, so they were still steeped in that culture and religion. So the statement about the molded mighty ones sounds a bit sarcastic, which is something I have learned to expect from Yahua from time to time. This is an important summary chapter because it captures the first year and expands and emphasizes the instructions concerning the covenants made during that time.

I’m not sure I understand. The first verses of Lev 19 are basically the Ten Commandments. Lev 19 starts out,” 1And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the LORD your God am holy. 3Ye shall fear every man his mother, and his father, and keep my sabbaths: I am the LORD your God. It ends,” 36Just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall ye have: I am the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt. 37Therefore shall ye observe all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: I am the LORD. Lev 19:27 reads,” 27Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard. I don’t see where any of the laws and statutes listed here are negotiable unless you are Paulian and the law no longer is important. There is nothing about these laws that appear to be traditions of men and I don’t think the Pharisees had a hand in making them. Other translations are,27 ” ‘Do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the edges of your beard”, and,” 27You shall not round the corners of the hair of your heads nor trim the corners of your beard [as some idolaters do]”.

    1. Timothy J. Sakach, Ph.D. Post author

There is one thing happening here that is uniquely different and often overlooked. These people just came out of Egypt. While they were there they learned the way of the Egyptians. They learned how to cheat people by having lying weights and measures. They adopted ways of clothing and fixing their appearance in relation to the requirements of the Egyptian religion and culture. This included the Egyptian way of trimming and dressing a man’s beard. Yahua instructs them to be “holy” or set-apart and different, not the same as the rest of the nations. He desired that they observe His statutes and what He determined was good (judgments.) Example of Egyptian styles and beard So what He is instructing them is to stop doing the works of the Egyptians and forget everything they learned from them because their ways are not righteous nor are they clean. They were all tied to the Egyptian religions and culture. Israel was to be unique and different from the world. But when Israel was in the land, after Solomon died, they split into two nations, and the House of Israel and the House of Judah was formed. Then the House of Israel started learning from the Assyrians and adopted Assyrian ways. This was addressed in the web radio broadcasts concerning the actions the women Oholah and Oholibah (names given to the House of Israel and the House of Judah.) Because the House of Israel did this, they were “returned to ‘Egypt’ “. This was not the Egypt of history. Instead they were dispersed among the gentile nations around the world! There they went back to their ‘Egypt’ and have been there ever since. When the dispersed of Israel are taken out of the gentile nations, then the instructions will be restored. Only at that time they will learn a new way, and they will understand the seriousness of learning the world’s ways and following those things. The lessons are the same, but the context will be different depending upon the different nations from which they are returned. The House of Judah did the same with their promiscuous relationship with Babylonia. In fact, according to the prophecy Yahua gave to Ezekiel, she did even worse than her older sister. They adopted a particular style of religious hair dressing and beards. They established a religious style of dress. They created their own Laws and claimed that these were from Moses as the “oral law.” (Not true). They made slaves of the people to these laws and adopted the Babylonian calendar complete with the pagan month names. This caused the keeping of “their” Sabbaths, Feasts and High days to become “unclean”, and as a result they became defiled and unclean. They fired the priests and broke the covenant with Levi, because all teaching and instructions were to come from the priests — not from lay ministers (Pharisees) and teachers. For all this and more they were dispersed among the nations and forced to become Catholics or Protestants (at the pain of death). However, the House of Judah never did lose its identity as did the House of Israel. “They shall not dwell in the land of Yahua, but Ephraim (House of Israel) shall return to Egypt and eat the unclean food in Assyria.” Hosea 9:3 And Hosea 9 continues with the spiritual explanation: they stopped eating the bread of Yahua, and turned instead to Assyria and became defiled by the unclean bread of Assyria. That is the message of the passage quoted above and it applies to the set-apart Israel, both the House of Israel (Ephraim) and the House of Judah (Judah) today.

Hello, What do you do with Yahua saying that the Sabbath was made for man not man made for the sabath. Was this a prophesy in the sense that, as one of your bloggers put it that he cannot tell his boss that he cannot come into work on tuesday because that is the Enoch Sabbath? Did Yahua know that in the future it would be impossible to keep a job and follow the Enoch calendar? Also, If we get rid of Paul are we not then held to the law. Lev 19:27 tells us how to wear our beards and hair. There are several translations of Lev 19:27. Which one is right? Lev 19:19 says in the KJV that we should not wear cloth made from cotton and wool. Other translations say not to mix two fibers. Which is right? Is polygamy OK without Paul’s laws?

    1. Timothy J. Sakach, Ph.D. Post author

I guess He did know. Isaiah 59: “Look, the hand of Yahua has not become too short to save, nor His ear to heavy to hear, but your crookednesses have separated you from your Elohim, and your sins have hidden His face from you, from hearing.” We are in a transition period between two ages: Enoch’s Seventh week (the Age of Apostasy) and the Eighth week (the age of righteousness). Therefore there are going to be conflicts, trials and troubles. On the one hand the world is screaming that it doesn’t want these changes and the deceivers know that their time is short! And on the other hand many people are beginning to push and rush to find the way into the Kingdom of EL and Yahua. Many are beginning to realize the apostasy that has ruled the minds of millions of people for 1000s of years. This pressure toward real change creates pain and conflict in the minds that are beginning to see. And those who see and rebel are reacting with greater intolerance and covering their eyes and ears. The Torah, which is a pattern and instruction about things heavenly and pure, is viewed with suspicion. Regardless, it contains things that are hard to understand in our culture, because of our tendencies to look not at the spiritual but at the flesh. The Torah must be understood and lived according this commandment: Love Yahua your Elohim with all your heart, mind and being, and love your neighbor as you love yourself. And this is expressed in more detail in the “10 commands” and through the Sabbaths, Feasts and High days, those things that are dear to the heart of Yahua. There is nothing in the rest of the Torah that we would have any problem with if we understood, first and foremost, that EL is LOVE, and that Yahua (His Son) is the expression of EL’s Being. If we all keep these commands, then there would no reason that anyone would want to sin against his Yahua or his neighbor. That is why we need to take these things to heart. Someone asked me about when we should stone someone for sin as defined by the “law.” But Yahua (as Yahushua) told the Pharisees, “Let him that is without sin cast the first stone.” They all walked away.” There is no one without sin, so there is no one who can cast the first stone, or any stone. The only One without sin did not cast the stone. Instead He allowed His accusers to murder Him and by that act He purchased all Mankind. It appears that it was those instructions that can lead to radicalism and fanaticism when misunderstood that served as triggers in the minds of blind leaders and teachers that led to the sacrifice of Yahua and the redemption of Mankind! That sacrifice paid the penalties of the Torah for any and all sins that the Torah defines! The Torah includes instructions about how to wear a beard and how to create good clothing, particularly from the point of view of an agrarian society. Those instructions may be useful to the world in the future, after we all have understanding. Remember the Torah includes commands and instructions. Therefore, would it not be wise to know the difference between the two? “Torah” means “instructions,” not “Law.” It was the Pharisees, “lay teachers” that made a mockery of the Sabbaths by imposing “laws” that were never part of the Torah, and were never intended by Elohim. These things include such nonsense as not tying or untying more than two knots, and not striking more than a set number of matches, and not walking more than so many steps. In doing this they pervert the Sabbath from something created for Man into make Man a slave to the Sabbath. Even today, I heard from people who said that during Yom KPR that they could not drive or ride in a car, but instead had to walk for more than 1/2 hour to and from their synagogue. And Yom KPR is a day of fasting. Go figure! What they do cannot be found in the Torah (Instructions).

That seems to be the indication of Enoch’s visions and the teachings of Yahua to the prophets and apostles. The entire universe and in particular the earth was created for mankind. This is the message that is implied in Genesis 1 – 5. Most people have been in the “abode of darkness” from the time they were born. And this has not been their fault. We are coming to the time of the seventh month of the Enoch Calendar. The 10th day of the month is Yom KPR, which is “the day of covering.” That day shows two things: (1) That Yahua [EE AH OO AH] (not Yahweh) is the sacrifice for the sins of the world. and (2) That Azazel is the one upon whom all the responsibility for the sins of the people is placed. So if the sin is removed because the debt has been paid, and the responsibility for that sin is placed on the head of the one (Azazel) and taken away, then all human kind has been bought and purchased by Yahua, and the people have been cleansed — though it may take a change that comes when the Day of Man ends and the Day of Yahua begins! So now only the details remain. The deceiver, the one who has and continues to deceive the world will be removed and bound. This will also bring an end to the Day of Man, and will commence the Day of Yahua. That will bring the world into a relation with EL and to the knowledge of EL’s Son — Yahua — who will then be the Messiah and King over the earth (Zechariah 14.) Many will be raised from the dead at that time and be given new bodies either immortal or mortal depending on their state of being at the time of their death or the end of the Day of Man. Others will be raised later. Those raised to eternal life will rule the world in righteousness because they already were leaders in righteousness in their life during the Day of Man, and who may have been killed because of that. That there will be no wicked in the Kingdom of EL is the fact of there being no wicked. This is the result of the process of cleansing and regeneration, where people are first conceived in the spirit by EL (John 1), and then are regenerated until they are born-again as Children of EL (I John, John 3). Enoch, after describing the history and future of humankind using the metaphor of clean dn unclean animals, ends with this statement, “AND THEY ALL BECAME WHITE BULLS” — the highest and most powerful image of righteous AND CLEAN Man in his vision! Is it possible that some may miss out? That possibility certainly does exist. After all, we have to want to be cleansed and made righteous, do we not? In Enoch’s visions, the righteous prayed to EL that the those that still remained in their graves after the first resurrection be given a chance to become part of the process. EL agreed, but said, “OK, but no more. If this does not work then that is it.” In other words, there can be a second death. But those who are in the first resurrection, whether raised to immortality or to judgment (Daniel 12), are not under the power of the second death. They will “build homes for themselves” in the Kingdom of EL.

      1. Carol

What about the names written in the book of life? Doesn’t that imply that there will be those who, being resurrected to be judged, shall be condemned and live no more?

        1. Timothy J. Sakach Post author

There are three groups who will be judged: the Messengers that sinned; the demons (the spiritual offspring of the Messengers;) and Man. Of those three groups, the only ones who will be saved is Man. Those that are resurrected to immortality are already “judged” for their life and works before the resurrection. The others are resurrected to judgment and everlasting abhorrence. But concerning them, who will do the “abhorring?” Is it not the people who are brought back to life who remember their works and who also then understand where they went astray? They are their own judges, are they not? The prophets say about these that they will and must abhor their works, and then become clean and made white. They will live long lives (as a tree) and will rejoice in their works. At the same time they will despise what they did before and be thankful that that was not the end of the matter. Who has been written in the Lamb’s Book of Life? Certainly NOT the Messengers that sinned NOR the demons. It was the intention and purpose before the heavens and the earth were created that the people should all be delivered. Because of the judgment upon the Messengers and the demons, these liars who are doomed to destruction strongly desire and go to great lengths through various means to deceive humankind into thinking that humanity is also destined to the same condemnation. Whoever teaches such things to Man has Lucifer as their father, do they not? For that they will be judged by their own actions and by their own thoughts when they come to the knowledge of the TRUTH!

    1. Timothy J. Sakach, Ph.D. Post author

You are kidding, right? The promises of protection were made to the offspring of Jacob, were they not? The word “church” should not even be used in the Scriptures because it is a corrupting influence. It does not convey the meaning of the context and is not a valid translation of the word “ecclesia.” The word “church” like the word “god” carries a false meaning back into the Scriptures and causes millions to misunderstand and to be deceived. At some time the chosen and “not rebels” of the tribes of Israel (all 12) will be gathered and put into a place where they will be protected and shelters. At that time, Yahua and his armies will fight against the deceived nations and take captive the spiritual powers that lead the nations astray. At the same time the religions, created by the anti-Messiah and his corrupt messages, will be taken out of the way, and the the anti-Messiah and his messengers will be bound or destroyed. This deceiver would love to create a false hope in the minds of the people that would lead them to destruction in the tribulation. The “rapture,” another non-Scriptural word, like “church” and “god,” is a powerful deceptive notion that keeps millions from coming to the truth!

“How have you fallen from Heaven, O Helel ["the shining one," Lucifer], son of the morning! You have been cut down to the ground, you who laid low the gentiles.” Isaiah 14:12 Also referred to as “Satan” ["adversary"]. Compare this ffrom Isaiah 14:13-22 with Ezekiel 28:

“For you have said in your heart, ‘Let me go up to the heavens, let me raise my throne above the stars of Ěl, and let me sit in the mount of meeting on the sides of the north; let me go up above the heights of the clouds, let me be like the Most High.’ “But you are brought down to the grave, to the sides of the Pit. Those who see you stare at you, and ponder over you, saying, ‘Is this the man who made the earth tremble, who shook reigns, who made the world as a wilderness and destroyed its cities, who would not open the house of his prisoners?’ “All the sovereigns of the gentiles, all of them, were laid in esteem, everyone in his own house; but you have been thrown from your grave like an abominable branch, like the garment of those who are slain, thrust through with a sword, who go down to the stones of the pit, like a trampled corpse. You are not joined with them in burial, for you have destroyed your land and slain your people. Let the seed of evil-doers never be mentioned.” “Prepare his children for slaughter, because of the crookedness of their fathers, lest they rise up and possess the land, and fill the face of the world with cities. And I shall rise up against them,” declares Yahua of hosts, “and shall cut off from Baḇel the name and remnant, and offspring and descendant,” declares Yahua. And I shall make it a possession for the porcupine, and marshes of muddy water; and shall sweep it with the broom of destruction,” declares Yahua of hosts. Yahua of hosts has sworn, saying, “Truly, as I have planned, so shall it be; and as I have purposed, so it stands.”
