Late last year I wrote a post about the countdown to the end of our age. Then to follow up on that I write a post about the beginning of a new year and quarter that started with the spring equinox. Since then, each time a new quarter happens events get “kicked up” a notch, haven’t they?

Well, we are at that point again, are we not? Each quarter in the calendar revealed to Enoch starts on a major solar event: either an equinox or a solstice. On June 20 of this year a new quarter began. Every solstice thousand gather at Stonehenge in Wilshire, England to celebrate the rising of the sun on the longest day of the year.
What can we looked forward to this quarter?
First, we are entering the hurricane season (“officially” on June 1). In the past quarter, starting on March 20, our weather has been so severe that records have been set across the nation for unusual heat or cold, for the number of tornadoes and severe storms, and this has been followed by “historic event” flooding. Some called this a “500-year event.” But that is only for the odds-makers, isn’t it. I never heard that there was another historic flood 500 years ago. Perhaps, it was to reassure us that this type of event will not happen again for 500 years. Who says so?
Second, the people in the Midwest are not free from problems, even though the rain has died down some, for now. But following on the heels of the tornadoes and flooding is disease. The water is contaminated with oil and gas, farm chemicals including fertilizers and pesticides, trash, and excrement both from humans and animals, and bacteria and other parasites!
Although the news story was resurrected from an October 2006 story, it matters little because at that time they predicted a collapse of the fishing industry as the zones form closer to the shore lines.
Third, flood adds to oxygen depletion in the oceans. As this brew moves toward this ocean it will no doubt carry with it massive doses of poisonous material into the Gulf of Mexico. This will further increase the problem of oxygen depleted zones that will have a major impact on the fishing industry. The Mississippi River pollution has already created a “permanent” dead zone in the Gulf.
Fox news reported recently that the oxygen depleted zones in the ocean are increasing rapidly and spreading closer to the land and this will impact the fishing industry. Strange. This report is about one and a half years old! The mass of contaminated water flowing downstream is unlike anything before and will create a new disaster that our southern coast may have to deal with for decades!
One headline was:
All Commercial Seafood Species May Collapse by 2048
And another:
Number of ‘Dead Zones’ in Oceans Up Sharply in Past 2 Years
The events of the last quarter can push those dates up some, don’t you think?
Fourth, the Western United States experienced a large number of fires very early in the season. The lack of spring rain in California created a “trifecta” of conditions that led to numerous fires. High temperatures, very low humidity and strong winds produced an ideal condition for widespread outbreaks of fire. But the normal “fire season” is still a few months away when large high pressure zones park in the desert and blow their “witches wind” eastward and when combined with lightning and arsonists (“terrorists”?) major forest fires can sweep over large areas raising all kinds of havoc.
Even as I write Southern California is experiencing above normal temperatures. They may not be record breaking, but combined with below normal rainfall this spring the “red flags” are already flying.
Fifth, gas and oil prices have never been this high, at least not in the United States, and the oil producing countries don’t seem to give a hoot about how that affects us now and how it will in the future, do they?
Then when this combines with major shortages of corn and soybeans, “renewal resources” families across the country are heading for some tough times, are they not? The cleanup and restoration of the Midwest is “Katrina-like” in its scope and threatens the economic well-being of thousands of people with a spillover to the rest of the nation and the world, does it not?
I told my friends while we were talking about the large winter storms that were hitting the nation, that we better plan on filling up reservoirs and lakes with all this excess water because sometime in the future we may experience record breaking drought. Considering that the Midwest rain and flooding has polluted the land and the drinking water, that alone causes a drought of sorts, doesn’t it?
Sixth, the Pacific rim is heating up as the earth quakes and volcanoes erupt. But that is not the only place, China, as well as Japan are feeling the effects. And those on the West coast are getting a little nervous as they realize that a major earthquake is “overdue.” Tens of thousands have been killed by both earthquakes and severe weather in Asia. What is next?
Observe the heaven, you children of heaven, and every work of the Most High, and fear Him and work no evil in His presence. If He closes the windows of heaven, and withholds the rain and the dew from descending on the earth on your account, what will you do then? And if He sends His anger upon you because of your deeds, you cannot petition Him; for you spoke proud and insolent words against His righteousness. Therefore you will have no peace.
From I Enoch 101El thunders wondrously with His voice; doing great deeds, which we do not understand. … He also loads the think clouds with moisture. He scatters His bright clouds. And they swirl about, being turned by His guidance, to do whatever He commands them on the face of the earthly world. He causes it to come, whether as a rod, or for His land, or for kindness.
From Job 37.
Seventh, where is “right-ruling” on earth today? Where the men and women of right doing who will lead us to glory and peace? The United States, along with other nations, are concerned about who the “new leaders” will be, are they not? Perhaps, we shall see and hear things about the political drift in the world that will shock the people. Some gather round and look for peace. “Change” is in the wind, but “change to what?” People hear the word and get excited about “abstract” speeches that talk much and promise little.
My wife, a refugee from communist Russia, listened to the political rhetoric and exclaimed, “I heard this all before. The American people seem swept up by the ‘ politics of change.’ This cannot be a good thing for this country. They promise much to get into office, and then deliver something completely different!”
We shall experience what this really means, won’t we?

I have not posted for awhile, how are you? As always your posts are filled with great information and much wisdom! I see that the Ironwolf forum got your attention:

Does innertech use HTML or BBcode?
Yes, and I guess I got their attention, too. Hah!
This blog is running the Open Source version of WordPress. So it uses only HTML. I also have MediaWiki and Moodle installed and they probably use both, although I haven’t checked. There is a BBcode plugin for WordPress, but not for this version. At least, I haven’t found one yet.
Thank you for the encouragement.
