The Hebrew word translated Jubilee or Jubile (KJV) means trumpet or ram’s horn. The blowing of the trumpet on the forty-ninth year on the tenth day of the seventh month on the revealed calendar signaled a time of liberty and restoration with the fiftieth year:
You shall number seven sabbaths [weeks] of years to you, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths [weeks] of years shall be to you forty-nine years. Then you shall cause the trumpet of the Jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement (YOM KIPPUR) shall you make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.
And you shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubilee unto you; and you shall return every man to his possession, and you shall return every man to his family.
A jubilee shall that fiftieth year be to you. You shall not sow, neither reap that which grows of itself in it, nor gather the grapes in it of your vine undressed. For it is the jubilee; it shall be holy [set-apart] to you: you shall eat the increase thereof out of the field. From Leviticus 25
The following are examples of how the Jubilee years played out in nations and people, when the conditions are right. …
The Book of Jubilees is a record of events that happened on Jubilee years. Although this book looks at sequential Jubilee years, there is no reason to conclude that every significant event has to fall in line with the sequence of Jubilee years recorded in that book. But in history, where spiritual forces are working in the lives of nations and people, Jubilee years are not uncommon.
Enoch’s Jubilees
As we shall see in this post, a special spiritual event that marks the beginning of something special to Elohim can also start a count toward a Jubilee year. For example, “Enoch walked with Elohim 300 years” or six Jubilees, then Elohim took him away. This started when he was 65 years old. What happened prior to age 65 is not important. But the event that triggered the count to Enoch‘s Jubilees started on the first year he started to walk with Elohim. In his sixth Jubilee year, “God took him.”
Noah’s Jubilees
Several Jubilee years mark the events surrounding Noah and his family, and the “first end.”
When Noah was five hundred years old, he begat Shem, Ham, and Yepheth. Genesis 5:32
This implies that they were triplets. Noah had only one wife, at least that is all we know about. According to Enoch‘s vision, they were shown as fraternal and not identical triplets.
Now Noah was six hundred years old when the flood waters were upon the earth. Genesis 7:6
So in the second Jubilee of Noah’s sons and in Noah’s twelfth Jubilee, the flood came.
Abraham’s Jubilee
In Genesis 17 is a fascinating account of a Jubilee that is often overlooked. In fact Jubilees are, for the most part, unknown in religious thinking
And it came to be when Abram was ninety-nine years old, that Eyahuwah appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am El Shaddai — walk before me and be perfect. And I give my covenant between Me and you, and shall greatly increase you.”
And Abram fell on his fact, and Elohim spoke with him, saying, “As for Me, look, My covenant is with you, and you shall become a father of many nations. And no longer is you name called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham, because I shall make you a father of many nations. And I shall make you bear fruit exceedingly, and shall make nations of you, and kings shall come from you. And I shall establish My covenant between Me and you and your seed after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be Elohim to you and your seed after you. And I shall give to you and to your seed after you the land of your sojournings, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession. And I shall be their Elohim [Family].” Genesis 17:1- 8 The Scriptures
The next few verses explain how circumcision was made part of this covenant. And the subject of Abraham’s offspring was also raised.
And Elohim said to Abraham, “As for Sarai your wife, do not call her name Sarai, for Sarah is her name. And I shall bless her and also give you a son by her. And I shall bless her, and she shall become many nations — rulers of peoples are to be from her.”
And Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, “Is a child born to a man who is a hundred years old?“
In the 49th year leading to Abraham’s second Jubilee, a promise and covenant was made. Then Abraham plead for his son Ishmael who was conceived through Sarah’s maid, Hagar. But this covenant was not for Ishmael,
And Elohim said, “No, Sarah your wife is truly bearing a son to you, and you shall call his name Isaac. And I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.
As for Ishmael, I have hear you. See, I shall bless him, and shall make him bear fruit, and greatly increase him. He is to bring forth twelve princes, and I shall make of him a great nation [Notice: singular, not plural.
But My covenant I establish with Isaac, who Sarah is to bear to you at this set time next year.
And in Abraham's second Jubilee, Isaac was born!
The Jubilees started during the first year of the Exodus
In the previous post we learned about the deliverance of tribes of Israel and the events of the first three months. This was signified by several spiritual events, but none more direct than the covenant made on the Feast of Firstfruits, the 15th day of the third month. This covenant was the start of the new nation:
“You have seen what I did to the Mitsrites, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Myself. Now, if you diligently obey My voice and shall guard My covenant, then you shall be My treasured possession above all the peoples – for all the earth is Mine – and you shall be to Me a kingdom of Priests and a set-apart [holy] nation.”
And all the people answered together:
“All that Eyahuwah has spoken we shall do.”
From Exodus 19
This event on the Feast of Firstfruits was similar to the signing and sealing of the Declaration of Independence, but instead of a peace of paper it was done with words.
The Birth of the United States and the start of its Jubilees
If you watched the fascinating cable series, “John Adams” you would have learned some very important facts about the history of the United States. Sadly, many people do not even know who John Adams was. The series showed that Thomas Jefferson drafted the Declaration of Independence. John Adams and Benjamin Franklin helped with the editing, phrasing, and general cleanup of Jefferson’s draft. Then Adams and Jefferson took it to the Continental Congress for signing. It was signed, and on July 4, 1776, the United States of America was born.
On July 4, 1826 Thomas Jefferson died. A few hours later on the same day John Adams, who claimed he would “outlive Jefferson,” also died. But before he died, Adams expressed his doubt by saying, “Jefferson survives”. He did not know that Jefferson was already dead. Their deaths on July 4th were 50 years to the day from the birth of the country they founded in 1776. The birth of the United States was signified and sealed as a spiritual event by a Jubilee.
My Jubilee Year?
If I follow the logic above, my own life and experience may show a connection to the Jubilee years, but for that I must wait and see. Yours may, too. Notice that the start of a Jubilee is tied to a beginning: when Enoch began to walk with Elohim at age 65, the birth of Noah’s sons and the flood, the birth of Isaac when Abraham was 100 years old, the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776 and the death of John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, or the baptism and receiving of the Holy Spirit as in Act 2.
As noted, a Jubilee Year is the next year after seven seven-year periods (49 years), and is the 50th year. It is a “hallowed” or set-apart year. The counting of Jubilees starts when some new spiritual event happens like the start of a new world or the birth of “set apart” nations, or a person is set-apart by receiving the set-apart (holy) Spirit.
My Jubilee is the year 2012, which is 50 years after I was baptized and received the holy Spirit.

It is a joy to read your e-mails and your website messages.
About five years ago the holy spirit led me to start reading the Book of Enoch, the Book of Jubilees, and the Book of Jasher and some others.
I didn’t even understand why I was led to read these books, I grew up in a church that never mentioned any of these books or even knew they existed.
I feel like some sort of weird-do when I tried to talk to other believers about them. I always got the same treatment about how they were not put in the bible because they were not important enough and etc…
When I stubbled across your website, it was like I was coming home. I was able to read messages from like minded people and I feel truly blessed with Yeshua’s truth.
May he bless you as you continue his work.
Maranatha!!

Delois de la Pena:
Welcome!
At times I also feel alone in this endeavor. I was introduced to the book of Enoch in the late 70s when I stopped by a Jewish book store while on my way to a Bible study I was conducting. The book, quoted by Jude and Peter, was also known by Moses. He either learned it from his father-in-law Jethro, or it was in the Egyptian libraries. He must have been very excited when he learned that he was prophesied to lead the “sheep” out from the control of the “wolves.”
In my book, “Enoch: The Book Behind the Bible” I included chapters that showed that calendar was being followed and taught to the people as they traveled to Sinai.
Enoch was also part of the Mayan/Aztec culture. Their books and history, however, were later destroyed by the Catholics.
The suppression of spiritual knowledge by the Catholics and later by the Protestants has made the Christian religion a supercult of scared people. It has supplanted the truth of the Scriptures with traditions and made-up doctrines and fables. Even until the late 50s and 60s followers of the Catholic religion were forbidden to read the Scriptures. Obviously, Enoch was not even a topic of conversation, other than “God took him.”
Had “free” people been allowed to explore and question the Scriptures, they might have found Enoch much sooner. But, who knows? Now is the time for Enoch to be known. He is one of the fathers of all who live and breathe today. So everyone, wherever they live, should come to know and respect what he has done for them. He also prophesied that his books would be known and read at this time. I am humbled to think that I am having a part in that.
Most important is the fact that Enoch lays the foundation that was built upon by Moses, the Prophets, and the apostles. Even, Paul, the false apostle and Pharisee, knew about Enoch and his books. But he used his training and knowledge to deceive millions. This functioned as a huge filter to screen out from among the righteous and “called out ones,” those who were more enamored with “religion” than they were the truth and righteousness. But, as clearly and cleverly shown in the Revelation, those who have been “called out” must “overcome” the deceptions of the popular religions and stand-out as free men and women, of whom the world is not worthy.
