RAPTURE: Still here? Why nothing happened!

Consequent to the fascination with the speculations that Christians would be taken away to heaven sometime between sunset on September 30, 2008, the start of Jewish Rosh HaShana or Jewish “Feast of Trumpets,” and sunset on October 9, 2008, the end of the Jewish Yom Kippur or Day of Atonement, many will be either disappointed or relieved that those days will have gone by uneventful. Why? What went wrong?

Note: First written in 2007 and revised for 2008.

Prophesying about the Christian notion of a “rapture” has led many into trouble. Even some televangelists got burned trying to predict this imagined, non-Scriptural, pre-tribulation event.

The main problem, of course, is that the idea of a pre-tribulation “rapture” is not from Scripture. The idea comes from twisting Paul’s epistles and from misconstruing the rest of the New Testament. But it really is a very recent idea from the early 1800s. Sure there are promises of protection, deliverance, and keeping some safe from the trouble prophesied to come. But not one is called a “rapture.” That is by definition, “a Theological term not found in the Scriptures.”

We are warned to not believe false prophets:

See, I have forewarned you. So if they say to you, “Look, He is in the desert!” Do not go out; or “Look, He is in the inner rooms!” Do not believe. Matthew 24:25-26

And learn this parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these, know that He is near, at the doors. Truly, I say to you, this generation [the generation that sees the end age events] shall by no means pass away until all this takes place.

If you want to know what do look for, read the posts in this blog about the end time and what was prophesied to happen before the next age begins. Most of these have been sealed until our time and this revelation is by itself evidence that we live very near to the end of the first seven ages of Enoch‘s vision.

Protection is promised in Scripture, but few know what it is or how one can qualify for it.

What was amiss with this speculation?

The assumption that “Jesus would return on the Feast of Trumpets” because that is the time of the “seventh” or “last trumpet” is flawed and confused. The trumpets of the book of Revelation and the “last trump” of Paul’s musing cannot be proven to be one and the same. Paul’s material comes from his own interpretations and is a result of his extensive training as a Pharisee. We must not refer to Paul’s writings until after we receive a complete understanding of both the Law and the Prophets. Afterward, we must forever view Paul’s writings in that context. We must never again view the Law and the Prophets through Paul’s dark glasses.

To look at all Scripture through the context created by Paul is a very serious problem that has plagued the people from the first century C.E. Paul’s writings are his own “private interpretations” influenced by Pharisaism! Very few people have the spiritual maturity and wisdom to be able to see through Paul’s smoke. Christianity has been from the beginning and probably will be until the end “Pauline.” Pharisaism came from Babylon and flourished after the Jewish exile. The return from Babylon has become known as the “Post-exilic Apostasy.”

From what I see in the Scriptures there is no “last trump.” Instead there is a continual blowing of trumpets on many different occasions, including the Day of Atonement (Leviticus 25:9). The Feast of Trumpets was to be a remembrance of the blowing of trumpets. (Leviticus 23:14), so rather than sitting around blowing trumpets or shofars, one should remember why trumpets were to be blown and trumpet shouts were to be made in the first place!

And Yahua spoke to Moses saying,

“Make two silver trumpets for yourself, make them of beaten work. And you shall use them for calling the congregation and for breaking camp. And when they blow both of them, all the congregation [people] shall meet before you at the door of the Tent of Meeting. And if they blow one, then the leaders, the heads of the thousands of Israel shall gather to you.

“And when you blow a shout, the camps that lie on the east side [of the Tent of Meeting] shall depart. And when you blow a shout the second time, then the camps that lie on the south side shall depart — they blow a shout for them to depart.

“And when the assembly is to be assembled, you blow, but do not shout.

“And the sons of Aaron, the priests, blow with the trumpets. And it shall be to you for a law forever throughout your generations.

“And when you go into battle in your land against the enemy that distresses you, then you shall shout with the trumpets, and you shall be remembered before your Yahua your Elohim, and you shall be saved from your enemies.

“And in the day of your gladness, and in your appointed times [the Feasts and High Days], and at the beginning of your months, you shall blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings and over your peace offerings. And they shall be a remembrance for you before your Elahim. I am Yahua your Elohim.”
Numbers 10:1-10 (The Scriptures)

This, my friends, is what the Feast of Trumpets is all about. The special trumpets were made to communicate to the people when and who to gather, and when to move to a new place. They were also to be “shouted” when they are forced into battle against those who distress them, and this was to be a special Prayer given to the people by Yahua, their Savior. And the trumpets were to be blown at the start of each month and at each of the Feasts and High days. Which brings us to a probable meaning of a “last trump.”

The year was to start every spring in the northern hemisphere at day of the spring equinox. That is the day when the day and night are the same length. Each quarter of the year started with either an equinox or a solstice. Sadly, this truth was lost to the people of Israel because they turned away from the Law and what had been revealed to our father Enoch, and adopted practices from the nations around them including the lunar calendar of Hammurabi of Babylonia.

From the time of creation, the year has started in the spring, on the fourth day of the week.

Therefore, the Feasts and High days were supposedly being kept on the lunar/Babylonian calendar, which made them occur year after year on days that are unclean. This is what the post-exilic prophets Zechariah and Malachi tried to warn the people of Yehuda about, but the people were blind and could not see it.

Each of the months, starting with the first month in the spring on the spring equinox, starts with a blow on the trumpets. Thirty days afterward the next month starts with another blow on the trumpets. And so on throughout the year and forever throughout the generations. If this practice was followed as it should have been according to the Law, when does the “last trump” happen?

There is no “last trump!”

It is one of Paul’s notions!

When is the true Feast of Trumpets?

On September 22, 2008 at 15:40 UTC the fall or autumnal equinox occurs. This is the exact time when the axis of the earth is perpendicular to a line from the earth to the sun. Then the first day of the seventh month starts after sunset on September 22 on what is really the Feast of Trumpets on the clean day of the Revealed Calendar!

For more information on this see: "END TIME: Equinox September 22, 2008 15:40 UTC Enoch’s Third Quarter Begins"

The sunset-to-sunset day following the true equinox is the first day of the seventh month which is also the true Feast of Trumpets and Shouts. That is the clean day for the feast. The first day of the seventh month on the Babylonian/Jewish calendar is not a clean day!

Now I can just see some people jumping up and down and saying, “Oh, the rapture is coming!”

Nope, wrong again.

Who is responsible for determining the start of the Revealed Calendar and the times in our life when the annual appointed times happen? Is it the responsibility of leaders of religions? No. That job belongs to true Priests of the line of Aaron [the ones who blow the trumpets] and to right-doing leaders of the nations [the ones who inform the thousands] — if these Kings and Priests exist.

During this age as a nation we may never experience living according to the true calendar and keeping the appointed times on clean days. In the next age there will be Kings and Priests of Elohim on earth who will restore all those things and bring right-doing and true knowledge to all the people, and the world will rejoice because of that.

What are the next events?

First, stop looking for a mythical rapture. Instead, keep your eyes on what Iran will do in the weeks and months ahead. Also, watch what the nation of Israel will do. It is not likely that they will build a full temple, and they will certainly not build the Temple revealed to Ezekiel. Instead, they may go all the way back to Moses and build a Tent of Meeting or Tabernacle and restore the daily sacrifices with the idea that later on, “when things settle down,” they can consider building the third Temple.

However, I don’t think they will get to that point as the focus of the nations around them will be upon Jerusalem. We are already in the transition period leading to the end of this age and the beginning of the Eighth Age, one of right-doing.

Also I think that the planned visit of the president of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmandinejad, to the United States at this time (the true Feast of Trumpets) is not a coincidence. In a short time Iran will reach the point where the world cannot stop them from becoming a world-threatening power in the middle east. In the future this beast will murder the two witnesses and then try to eliminate the righteous and chosen, the people of the Nations (plural) of Israel, wherever they are on earth.

It is time for the people who are the offspring of the righteous fathers to humble themselves and to cleanse themselves from their unclean religious practices and then look forward to the true hope and salvation that will restore right-doing, true knowledge, and real peace to the earth.
