KABBALAH: A Key to Spiritual Connectivity?

Can we learn from the Kabbalah? You be the judge. It is considered ancient Hebrew mysticism and may have been a source for Elijah’s (Eliyahu’s) connection with Elahim. But is it up-to-date and useful for our time and age?

Problem: Kabbalah may be out of date. The Kabbalah as one author put it, “is a philosophical and theosophical system that was originally designed to answer man’s eternal questionson the nature of God and of the universe, and the ultimate destiny of mankind.” Has it succeeded in that goal? Or is it ready for a change?

We are in preparation for the Eighth Age prophesied by our father Enoch. As the time draws nearer we ought to expect to change and get ready for events that were planned before the universe was created. These are excited time, for sure.

The Incomplete Tree of LifeKabbalah tree of life Diagram

The Kabbalah is famous for its strange appearing Tree of Life. Although it may give the appearance of being complete, it contains some clues indicating it is not.

Starting at the top, the round object called a Sephira, has been given the meaning “Crown” and is the highest spiritual entity. The Sephira to the right is Wisdom, and across from it on the left is Understanding. But the yellow, dashed circle near the top represents Knowledge. Its detached and vague appearance seems to say that Knowledge is not complete and has not found its real connection within the Tree. From out point of view, we have so much to learn we cannot comprehend everything in this short life.

The horizontal bars and some of the diagonal bars are paths between the Sephiroths. And by meditating on these paths and Sephiroths one, it is believed, is led into a connection with Yahua of Elohim (the Crown). Some bars or paths are missing on this tree. Sometimes the Tree is shown with a path leading from Understanding through Knowledge to the Sephira at the right side, below Wisdom. This Sephira is called Mercy or Love. The on-again-off-again path leading from Understanding through Knowledge to Love is usually missing. That indicates there are problems when trying to make a full spiritual connection.

On the right, left and center are three vertical Pillars that support the Tree. These are not Paths, even though the first trek forces one to climb up the center Pillar. We might try to squeeze some esoteric meaning from this, but it is not necessary and probably wrong anyway. Instead this tells us that the tree is not complete. The Path or Way must “be prepared.”

Usually one on a spiritual journey starts at the bottom and moves upward in the Tree. But the person is stopped at Love because the path through Knowledge to Understanding is not available. If we are cutoff from a solid connection with Elohim, the scriptures tell us that “My people are destroyed for LACK of Knowledge.” Hence, they also lack Understanding and Wisdom and consequently have NO connection with the Crown or Yahua the Creator!

This is “the crooked path” that must be made “straight.”

The Spiritual Names of the Sephiroths

Starting at the bottom the lowest circle is “Kingdom.” As we shall see later this is a very peculiar name. This is another clue indicating the incompleteness of this Tree of Life.

A peculiar thing happens here. This is the only place in the Tree where we must go straight up, another clue that the Tree is not complete. Horizontal paths always go from our left to right, but diagonals go up and from our right to our left. The out of place upward path will not be needed in the complete Tree.

Moving up to the Sephira in the middle we come to “Foundation.” The Torah or Law is considered the foundation upon which all spiritual life is built. Another name for Foundation is “Stasis.” Therefore, if we are NOT building on the Foundation or Torah, we are building “away from the Stasis” or upon “apostasy!”

Following the diagonal path up and to the left we arrive at “Glory.” Another interesting name that seems that it might be out of place. Again, it is in the correct place, as we shall see when the Tree is complete.

The horizontal path leading to our right leads to “Victory.” Again very fascinating that this name applies here. What victory? We will find out.

Now we follow the diagonal to the circle in the center. This is called “Beauty.” Strange isn’t it. When we see the completed tree, we will understand something powerful.

The diagonal from “Beauty” leads to the next level and the Sephira called “Judgment or Severity.” This also fits this level.

Moving across the horizontal path to our right we come to the Sephira named “Mercy or Love.” Because there is no path leading from “Mercy” up the tree, we must stop. We are kept from Knowledge, Understanding, and Wisdom, leading finally to “Crown” or “Elohim.”

The time has come for the Tree of Life to be made complete and in doing so, this will provide a path not only leading to Yahua, but also preparing the way for the Eighth Age.

Next blog: we will examine the mysteries of Hebrew alphabet and why it is important for this day and age, and how it unlocks the mystery of the Tree of Life.
