Beginning at this time, along with my written blogs, I will include audio and video messages of hope and encouragement for these troubling times. We have a great future and now is the time to learn about it and prepare for it.

What happens after Jesus returns? Some say that only the true Christians, which is usually defined as members of a particular church, will be raptured away where they will be “forever with the Lord.” Then I guess they will forever gaze on the face of God, or maybe hold harp music concerts. Actually, after their “rapture” the only significant event is a worldwide epidemic of auto accidents caused by driverless cars and trucks. Well, let’s get real.
Much of what is believed by Christian churches is from Paul’s imaginations. What appears, that is not known, is that Paul was appealing to those who knew Greek mythology and religion. The Greeks believed in the immortality of the soul. This is not found anywhere in the Hebrew Scriptures. So most are trained to ignore the Hebrew Scriptures, because didn’t Paul say that they were done away and replaced by “Christ?”
I heard someplace that someone once offered $10,000 to anyone who could find the words, “immortal soul” in the Scriptures. Of course, no one claimed the $10,000 because the words are not there. But Christians still doggedly hang on to the notion that when we die we either go to heaven or hell. Again, from Greek mythology.
In part three of this series, I stopped at the Great Resurrection that happens at the beginning of the next age as Enoch recorded in his vision of the “Weeks.” There will be one resurrection then with two results: (1) the resurrection of the righteous, those who overcame through the tribulation that started with Adam and Eve and ends at the culmination of our age: the seventh “week,” and (2) the”whole house of Israel” as revealed to Ezekiel.
We will now consider more detail concerning the resurrection of the righteous, also known as “the better resurrection.”
Now some will say that “The Great Tribulation” is only an end time event. But in the book of Revelation, “The Great Tribulation” is mentioned for the first time regarding the great masses of the righteous that no one could number in the seventh chapter. Prior to that the words do not appear except in some translations in Revelation 2:22 where it means intense suffering on account of the people committing adultery with a prophetess Jezebel who misleads her followers. Then it also appears on Matthew 24:21 where it again refers to the intense suffering that will come on the earth at the end of our age.
But this great tribulation is the entire period of seven “weeks” or ages where people from every nation, tribe, people and language found righteousness through discipline and trial. Therefore they can claim:
Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.
And they receive this promise:
Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat upon them, nor any scorching heat. For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd. He will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.
This seems to have been an enigma for the Christians, as it is hard to wrap their minds around that idea that any could be saved before their Jesus came. The events of human history are taken with a view to the total time from the start of the first age to the end of the seventh and then the change comes. Read the list of those who were deemed righteous in Hebrews 11: Abel, Enoch Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Rahab (a prostitute), Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and all the prophets:
Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. Women received their dead raised to life again. And others were tortured, not accepting deliverance that they might obtain a better resurrection. Others had trials of cruel mocking and scourging, and bonds and imprisonment. They were stoned. They were sawed in two. They were tempted and tested. They were slain with the sword. They wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, tormented. Of whom the world was not worthy. They wandered in deserts, in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. And these all obtained a good report through faith but have not received the promise. Elahim having provided some better thing for us that they without us should not be made perfect.
This is the definition of the Great Tribulation that has come upon the righteous and faithful from the very beginning whom the world is not worthy. Therefore, they will obtain the better resurrection. To be part of that resurrection, it is falls upon all to turn from lies to the truth. From Hebrews 12:
And have you forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to children?
“My son, do not despise Eyahuwah’s discipline and do not resent His rebuke, because Eyahuwah disciplines those He loves, and like a father, he scourges every son he delights in.”
If you endure chastening, Elah deals with you as sons. For what son is he whom the father does not chasten? But if you are without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then you are bastards and not sons. Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh who corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live?
For they truly for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure, but He for our profit, that we might be partakers of His holiness. Now no chastening for the present seems to be joyous, but grievous. Nevertheless afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to them who are exercised thereby.
In consideration of this, lift up the hands that hang down and the feeble knees, and make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way. Let it rather be healed.
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see Eyahuwah Look diligently in case any one fail of the grace of Elahim and lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby cause many to become defiled. Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. For you know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected. For he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.
For you are not come to the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor to blackness, darkness, tempest, the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words. On hearing this voice they that heard cried out that the word should not be spoken to them this way any more. For they could not endure that which was commanded, and if so much as a beast touched the mountain, it was to be stoned or thrust through with a spear. So terrible and awesome was the sight that Moses said, “I exceedingly fear and tremble.”
But you have come to mount Sion and to the city of the living Elahim the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and congregation of the firstborn who are written in heaven, to Elah the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, to Eyahushuah the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.
See that you do not refuse Him that speaks. For if they who refused him that spoke on earth did not escape, much more shall we not escape, if we turn away from him that speaks from heaven, whose voice then shook the earth. But now he has promised, “In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. I will shake all nations, and the desired of all nations will come, and I will fill [my] house with glory, … and in this place I will grant peace.”
And this word, “once more,” signifies the removing of those things that can be shaken, like things that are made [like religions], that those things which cannot be shaken[like righteousness] may remain. We will receive a kingdom that cannot be moved, so let us have grace, whereby we may serve Elah acceptably with reverence and godly fear.
For our Elah is a consuming fire.
To have part in the better resurrection, the revealing of the Sons of Elah to the world, we must make straight paths for our feet now, and return to the righteousness of our fathers, who were promised a better resurrection, and who at that time looked forward to their children with the hope that they would obtain the same.
The book of Daniel recorded that at the end there would be a great resurrection. But have you heard that entire nations will be resurrected? Scriptures tell that billions of people who lived and died will come back to life. Before that happens the earth and all that live on it, may face extinction unless something happens to prevent this.
In the prior blog on this subject, we finished with the great prophecies of Daniel. Josephus, the Jewish historian, commented about the prophecies of Daniel and how accurate they were even as to time. But even Josephus was unaware that he lived during a time prophesied in Daniel’s book and that prophecy was fulfilled years after Josephus died when hundreds of thousands of Jews were killed, men, women and children. Hundreds of cities were destroyed. And the Romans cast the people out of Israel and made it illegal for them to enter into Jerusalem. That event, under the leadership of a false messiah, Simon Bar-Kokhba, was the fulfillment of the prophecies of both Daniel and Enoch and that marked the end of that age.
We live now at the time of the end of the seventh age. Daniel was told that this time would be a time of great trouble such has never been in the world until now and never would be again. Daniel was told to seal up those prophecies as they would only be revealed during our time. He was also told that only the wise and knowledgeable would understand. But none of the wicked would understand. I cover this is more detail in my book, Prophecy Unsealed! which you can order from my website.
Now I would not be surprised that most of the people reading this do not consider themselves among the wicked. And that is a good thing. At the same time, though, they don’t understand the prophecies in Daniel’s book and in particular those in chapter 12. Well, let us not draw a logical, but ridiculous conclusion, that those who don’t understand must be among the wicked. That is not true. If you had the opportunity and resources to research those prophecies, you would probably understand them. But to do that you must also free your mind from preconceived notions, accepted traditions and speculations you may have picked up from both Christianity and Judaism.
The understanding of those prophecies requires that things long ago put on the shelves to gather dust and be ignored must be restored. Without restoring knowledge that was known before the House of Israel was taken captive by the Assyrians and the House of Judah by Babylonia, there is no way that you can understand those prophecies. They require the restoration of key knowledge that is not new, just lost and hidden.
When I started to write my book, I had envisioned just a simple book of 32 pages. But as I wrote I realized that the key to understanding demanded that I also write about what was known before, which was critical to decipher the meaning of the prophecies of Daniel 12.
The Christian doctrines about the “afterlife” assume that we have an immortal soul and that soul goes to heaven when we die. Then when Jesus returns the soul somehow comes out of heaven to be joined with its former body, which apparently is all fixed up. But they also claim that if you don’t accept Christ (which to them is synonymous with believing in the stories about Jesus,) during this lifetime, you will be forever cut off from God and will spend eternity in Hell, like the one Dante described. They say you only have one chance, and if you don’t do what they say you should do, you are “forever lost.”
I used to watch the wannabe evangelists in school carry a massive, self-imposed “burden” for all the lost souls in the world. They believed that if they didn’t get the message “about Jesus” (their words) to these people that was it. Gone, to burn forever. Few talked about the message that Jesus preached and taught. They were mostly “Pauline” and could care less about what Moses, the Prophets and the Apostles (not Paul) actually believed, taught and lived by. And they certainly didn’t know about our father Enoch His books were not “Canonized.” So they must be “bad.”
I say that to get to this point. The first resurrection includes millions who never heard “about” Jesus, and Christians, who claim they know but do not, and Jews, who really can’t accept the Christian ideas (Can you blame them?), and others who don’t understand much of anything religious or spiritual, those whose lives were spent in turmoil and suffering as they tried to live out their days, drug addicts, criminals, and many, whom most expect, are now in hell where they “deserve to be.”
The first resurrection will also include those who understood the Message and changed their lives, who walked away from the world’s ways and understood what the Apostles taught in the DIDACHE, who cried out to ELAH and EYAHUWAH for mercy and strength, who believed the Prophets and desired the teaching of Moses, who mourned for what they saw happening in the world and longed for a time when it would be different.
Enoch wrote about the resurrection of the “righteous and elect.” Daniel wrote what he heard from Gabriel. Ezekiel wrote what he saw in visions and they tell the same thing: the first resurrection includes both the righteous and those not so righteous. Some are raised to glory and power and others are brought back to life, only now in new bodies and looking much like they did before with one small difference: the righteous have bodies like Jesus (EYAHUSHUAH) had when he rose from the dead. The others have new bodies, really new, not sick or weak, no drugs in their blood, no damaged DNA, no mental handicaps, just a brand new body. They didn’t get back all the dust, dirt, and decayed remains of the old bodies. They got what every person who ever lived really wanted, a new, vibrant body, with no flaws or handicaps!
Another thing they will have and maybe they would wish that they didn’t have it, is the memory of everything that happened before they died, not the actual death, but how they lived their lives before. In addition to that they will be given the wisdom to understand what they should have done before. This is the judgment time and the people themselves have the recall and the understanding about what they did and what they should have done. Hence, they are raised to “shame and age-lasting contempt,” knowledge that they will carry for the next thousand years.
It is for this event that the Message will be preached in all the world “as a witness.” It is an “I told you so” of universal scope! It is a message not to condemn but to warn and to inform.
Ezekiel’s vision in chapter 37 makes it very clear. Ezekiel was a prisoner in Babylon and while there he wrote his prophecy, which could only be also for the time after including our time. In his vision of the valley of dry bones, Ezekiel was told to prophesy over the bones:
Prophesy to these bones and say to them, “Dry bones hear the word of Eyahuwah This is what the King Eyahuwah says to these bones: I will make breath enter into you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin. I will put breath in you and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am Eyahuwah.” So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them, and they came to life and stood upon their feet: a vast army!
Then he said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They say our bones are dried up and our hope is gone. We are cut off.”
Therefore prophesy and say to them: “This is what the King Eyahuwah says, O my people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them. I will bring you back to the land of Israel. Then you, my people, will know that I am Eyahuwah when I open up your graves and bring you up from them. I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land! Then you will know that I, Eyahuwah have spoken, and I have done it! declares Eyahuwah.”
This is why I spent time writing about Israel in part 1. This is not Judah only but all those of the twelve tribes from the time of their father Jacob to the end of this age!
The prophesied trouble that comes at the end of this age will be focused on the descendents of Jacob, “It is the time of Jacob’s trouble, but he will be saved out of it.” The Nations of Israel, including the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the British Isles, and the countries of Europe, and the tiny land of Israel, will suffer greatly during this time. Many will be killed by disease, and war. But they will be saved out of it by the great resurrection and the coming of Eyahuwah to the earth. These are the “elect” or “chosen” to whom promises were made because of the covenants Eyahuwah made with them, and with our Fathers. He wiped away their debt, which they accrued because of their unfaithfulness, and paid, by sacrificing His body, what they owed. Now Eyahuwah has the right to call them “My people!”
The righteous are those who overcame and were faithful during the time they lived in the flesh. These have not been deceived by the religions of this world, or have seen the great error of apostasy and turned from it. These are those who will be “born-again” by the resurrection and given glorified bodies and will never die again. They are the Sons of Elam and now part of the Elahim They will appear before the Father in Heaven at the end of the 1335 days as the Wave Loaves offering portrays, and will receive glory, honor, and power. What is their secret? They lived “the Eternal Life” while they were in their flesh, and they did not love their bodies even to the point of death. Many of these will be protected during the time of trouble. Some will die to keep them out of it.
Then I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.” Revelation 14: 13-14
Our father Enoch saw the great difference this resurrection was going to mean to all the world. He said, “There I want to be.”
Although the time of trouble may appear to the wicked, the sons of darkness, as a time of victory and great rejoicing, they will be destroyed by the coming of Eyahuwah to the earth and by the transformation of the earth as it is restored to the former glory it had at the time Man was first made from its dust.
But there is more. What finally happens to those who were neither the righteous or the elect? And what will happen on earth during the next age? That I will cover in the next post.
The current belief among most Christians is that there is only one “resurrection” that counts, which they call the “rapture.” They claim that those not “raptured” are “left behind” to face tribulation at the hands of an angry God who is very upset because these refused to believe the preachers. You know what? Don’t listen to them.
One of our greatest tasks in life is to know the truth and make it our own. But it is not easy to do. There is so much flack flying around that everyone gets hurt by it. Truth is tough. Nothing can hurt it. Even liars and deceivers cannot change the truth. But if we are not careful, they might change our minds and thoughts.
It really comes down to us. When we feast on the lies and deceptions, all we get is fat and sick.
But as the song says, “truth marches on.” It really doesn’t depend upon us. We can be completely brain dead about the truth, but the only damage done is the damage that we allow to be inflicted upon ourselves.
Prophecy is a derivative of truth. Therefore, it carries the same attributes. Prophecy will be fulfilled, if it is truly prophecy and not some nightmare created by religious leaders lusting after control. Prophecy does not count on us to either know it or if we hear it to either believe it or not. In fact, we may even participate in its fulfillment completely without our knowledge.
For example, those hammering us with their ideas about the future where we, if we don’t believe them, will suffer incredible torment and anquish. They say, “God will get you if you are not part of the rapture, but we, on the other hand, (ha, ha), will stand with him in the clouds cheering God on as He pours out the plagues on your sorry, uh … sinful soul. (ha, ha, ha).” Truly they must be ignorant of the real prophecy that describes how they will look upon others who really understand, while the liars and hypocrits stand on the outside where they weep and gnash their teeth.
Well, thank Elah and the Elahim we don’t need to listen to these. Now it gets down to my task. I must present you with the truth that was recorded long ago for our benefit. This is an awesome task. If what I tell you is wrong, then I will be held accountable for it, in the same way that the preachers of “damnation” will be. But if I tell you the truth, then I have done my job. Whether you believe it or not, is your job. I cannot use trickery, or fancy stories, or scare tactics. Furthermore, I must provide you with references to what I received and used. Then you can check things out for yourself.
The Father in heaven, who is the Father of us all, will at the right time, reveal these things to you personally. It happens this way: “Flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father in Heaven,” says Eyahushuah And, “You shall the know the truth and the truth shall set you FREE.” This is part of the Elahim Connection. We all have to learn this way. If you do not want to, then don’t. But let me fill you in on a little secret, sooner or later, you will want to and you will feel very good about it.
So where did the “rapture” come from? Paul’s private interpretations and Tertullian’s musings about Paul’s writings. That is all that needs to be said, because we must move on to other more important things.
The Great Transition
Our father Enoch the first to write about the resurrections, had much to say. It was from his visions and revelations that all the other prophets and the apostles learned. Moses quoted Enoch in Genesis 6. John was obviously influenced by Enoch when he wrote the Revelation. So from beginning to end, Enoch has influenced all the writers of Scripture. We begin here in Enoch 37:
The second vision which he saw, the vision of wisdom, which Enoch the son of Jared, the son of Mahalalel, the son of Cainan, the son of Enos, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, saw.
And this is the beginning of the words of wisdom, which I lifted up my voice to speak and say to those who dwell on earth. “Hear you men of old time, and see, you that come after, the words of the Holy One which I will speak before the Lord of Spirits. It may have been better to declare them only to the men of old time, but even from those that come after, we will not withhold the beginning of wisdom.
Until the present day such wisdom had never been given by the Lord of Spirits as I have received according to my insight, according to the good pleasure of the Lord of Spirits by whom the lot of eternal life has been given to me.
Now three parables were imparted to me, and I lifted up my voice and recounted them to those that dwell on the earth.
This is a wonderful introduction. When I first read these three parables, I was amazed. This is the foundation for us upon which to build our understanding of the future life for all human or Man kind.
The first parable:
When the congregation of the righteous shall appear [perhaps one of the greatest events yet to happen in the history of Man], and sinners shall be judged for their sins, and shall be driven from the face of the earth. And when the Righteous One shall appear before the eyes of the righteous, whose chosen works hang upon the Lord of Spirits, and light shall appear to the righteous and the elect [chosen] who dwell on the earth, where then will be the dwelling of the sinners, and where the resting place of those who denied the Lord of Spirits? It would have been good for them if they had not been born.
Do not lose heart when reading those words. We are living during a time when the wicked desire to kill and destroy all the righteous and the chosen (elect). This prophecy is talking about the defeat of the wicked who go to war against both the righteous and the elect. They have no place in the next age.
So far this look very ominous, but this is only the beginning of wisdom. Remember this is transition time from the end of our age to the beginning of the next. The old ways must come to an end as they have been unprofitable for all living things. To make it into the next age, we must prepare now.
When the secrets of the righteous shall be revealed and the sinners judged, and all the godless driven from the presence of the righteous and chosen, from that time those that possess the earth shall no longer be powerful and exalted. And they shall not be able to see the face of the holy, for the Lord of Spirits has caused His light to appear on the face of the holy, righteous and elect.
Then shall the kings and mighty perish and be given into the hands of the righteous and holy. And from then on none [of the kings and mighty] shall seek for themselves mercy from the Lord of Spirits because their life is at an end.
This scenario is repeated in Psalm 2, a prophetic Psalm of David. This brings up another attribute of all the great prophecies: they are given by multiple witnesses. In this case first, Enoch and then David.
Why to the gentiles rage, and the peoples meditate emptiness? The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers take counsel together against Eyahuwah and against his anointed, and say, “Let us tear apart their bonds, and throw away their ropes from us.”
He who is sitting in the heavens laughs, and Eyahuwah mocks at them. Then He speaks to them in His wrath, and troubles them in His rage, saying, “I have set My King on Zion, my set-apart mountain. I inscribe for a law: Eyahuwah has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, today I have brought You forth. Ask of Me and I make the gentiles Your inheritance and the ends of the earth Your possession. Break them with a rod of iron and dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’”
And now, be wise, O Sovereigns, and be instructed you rulers of the earth. Serve Eyahuwah with fear and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son lest he be enraged, and you perish in the way, for soon His wrath is to be kindled.
Blessed are all those taking refuge in Him.
How can the people of the world transition from this age of darkness and wickedness into an age of peace and righteousness? What can be expected from the rulers of the nations who walk arrogantly in unrighteousness, and flaunt their “power” before the people? The people in their fear, praise the rulers and cry to them to save them and put their hope in their rulers. The Sovereigns will lose their power. The control of the rulers will vanish. Where are the righteous rulers in the world today that show mercy with justice, who plead for the oppressed and the poor, and who “remember the Law given to my servant Moses?” Are there any, anywhere? Where are those who “Serve Eyahuwah with fear and rejoice with trembling?”
Is this the time when only Christians are saved and no one else? No. This is the time when the earth is saved, and the righteous, from the time of Adam to the end of this age, will be raised to begin to do their job of restoring and rebuilding the earth and the people who live on it. But the righteous are not the only ones raised from the dead. Read this carefully:
And in those days shall the earth also give back that which has been entrusted to it, and Sheol (the grave) also shall give back that which it has received, and hell (also the grave) shall give back that which it owes. For in those days the Chosen One shall arise, and he shall choose the righteous and holy from among them, for the day has drawn near that they should be saved.
And the Chosen One shall in those days sit on My throne, and his mouth shall pour forth all the secrets of wisdom and counsel. For the Lord of Spirits has given to Him and has glorified him. And in those days shall the mountains leap like rams, and the hills also shall skip like lambs satisfied with milk. And the faces of all the Messengers in heaven shall be lighted up with joy. And the earth shall rejoice, and the righteous shall dwell upon it, and the elect (chosen) shall walk thereon. Enoch 51.
And also in Daniel 12, talking about this same event, the Messenger says:
At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people, [Daniel] - everyone whose name is found written in the book - will be delivered. Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt. Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever. But you, Daniel, close up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end.
This is that time and the words are now unsealed. If you don’t believe me then get a copy of my book “Prophecy Unsealed! and prove these things yourself. The book is a revision of an earlier title “The Hidden Prophecy” and contains updated and new material not published before. (See the review at this wordpress blog.)
In the next blog on this subject we will see where the righteous are and who the elect are and what they will do that will transform the earth and the people that will live there. This is only the beginning. We must prepare for it and pray that we be given the wisdom to start living the Eternal Life now.
After the earth and the people and their former rulers pass through the transition time, then the next parable of Enoch shows more about where the righteous go and what that will mean for the people of earth. We will also see what the other prophets say about this time. And we will answer the question: Who will be in the first resurrection?
New revelation and knowledge often bring amazement and exhilaration. Assumptions and errors can hang over us and block us from moving ahead. Here is a case in point:
I woke early this morning, at least 5:30 AM was early for me. I felt I had to get back to my computer to launch the new version of my web site. As I typed in changes here and there, I saw something I had not noticed before. I looked at the Hebrew spelling of the name of one word and above it was the most popular transliteration of that word: “Elohim.” As I compared the two words so close to each other I realized that the most popular transliteration “Elohim” was not correct, at least not if you consider that the Hebrew word contains three ancient Hebrew vowels and only two consonants!
In the United states we speak many dialects. Many can recognize a New England dialect, or New York city speech, or someone from the deep south who makes multi-syllable words out of what others consider to be single syllable words and visa-versa, like “hey ed” from “head” and “Yawl” from “You all.” Lesser known dialects come from places like southern Ohio: “You’uns,” which I am not sure what that is a contraction of. And I was told by someone who had visited there that way up in the hills of Kentucky are folk who still speak with a British accent.
Well, when I looked at the Hebrew word for which I adopted the transliteration “Elohim,” I realized I was speaking with a deep accent, and that there was no way I could derive that sound from the Hebrew letters. The two consonants sound like our English “L” and “M”. The ancient Hebrew vowels, which got lost along the way were (1) “He,” which sounds like “AH,” (2) “Aleph,” which sounds like the “Eh” in egg and (3) “Yod,” which sounds like a long “E” and is used with the final form of Mem to form the plural “eem.”
So using the Hebrew vowels, the word unequivocally becomes “Eh - L - AH - EE - M” or ELAHIM which is the plural for “Eh - L - AH” or ELAH, Who is the One who is above All. The problem really goes back before the 10th century AD, where Hebrew, over the years, became deeply accented and affected by both the commonly spoken languages and their many dialects. Also the assumption that Hebrew had only consonants in its alphabet is really a myth, “Yawl.” The Masoretes, using that assumption, analyzed the language as it was currently spoken, and created vowel markings to “preserve” what they assumed to be correct. Or if not correct, then to them it mattered little that Hebrew at one time, and like other languages, actually had letters that were vowels.
I am not alone in this. Leonora Leet, Ph. D, wrote in her book, The Secret Doctrine of the Kabbalah that, considering the impact of recognizing ancient Hebrew vowels, the word mistakenly spelled YHWH consists solely of three vowels! Yod (long E), He (ah), Vau (oo). That means that the pronunciation, which will become a household word for all the people of the world, can only be “E - AH - OO - AH” or EYAHUWAH.
As a singer, I recognized the logic behind this. E - AH - OO - AH and Eh - LAH - EEM are perfectly formed for singing in any language. Much more pleasing than “Jeh-ho-vah.” A quick look at the Psalms shows that E - AH - OO - AH appears many times in the text at points where meditative emphasis would be appropriate.
When vowels are strung together like this, regardless of the language, the same consonants will form naturally as the sustained sound transitions from vowel to vowel. So EYAHUWAH will create consonants sounds ” E [y] AH [h]OO[w]AH” and ELAHIM creates “Eh - LAH[h]EEM.” Without allowing the naturally forming transitional consonant sounds, the singer might be forced to perform a glottal stop between the vowels! Thus both names can be sung in any language completely without any affectation from language or dialect.
At the point where I recognized my error, I felt free. Mainly because my writings had been “affected” by using a lesser pronunciation. I felt as though I was being held back in taking my books to the printer because this really needed to be changed.
